Miss CA Teen USA 23'

Hello friends! This post is long overdue, but I’m excited to finally be able to share all the details about my Miss California Teen USA experience! If you didn’t know, I competed in 2022 and was so honored to have received the title of 1st runner up to my dear friend, Cassidy Hill, a.k.a. Miss California Teen USA 2022. This year, I was just as stoked to have placed in the top 15 among some very special girls. Walking into this pageant, my main goal was to be the healthiest and happiest version of myself. Looking back, I know I accomplished just that. Whoever said “it’s not about the destination, it’s about the journey” was so right. What I’ve learned throughout these past two years has helped me to become the most authentic, vulnerable, confident, and graceful version of myself. I am so grateful to my amazing family, friends, and boyfriend for being my biggest cheerleaders always. I don’t know what I would do without you guys. Don’t think I forgot about YOU!!!! Thank you for praying for me and sending your love my way throughout this entire journey. Your support means the world to me. There are so many exciting things happening soon that I cannot wait to share with you. I love you so much and remember my DMs and email are always available if you want to talk. Anywayssss let’s get into all thing wardrobe. The first thing I purchased was my gown! I met with the icon Sherri Hill herself and was able to try on multiple dresses in her Atlanta showroom. The second I saw this gown I knew it was the one. I truly have never seen anything like it and I felt so special in it. From the detailing on the bodice to the ombré train…the dress is perfection.

Next, I met with one of the lead designers at Jovani to design my interview outfit! From the beginning I knew I wanted my outfit to be white, beaded with crystals, and have unique cut outs. After several sketches and zoom try-ons, we came up with the most beautiful dress for interview. This dress makes me feel like a girl boss when I wear it!

Last but not least, I ordered the cutest activewear set off of Revolve and I definitely have worn it to run around town since. I love the color and the fit of this brand so I’m linking it on my activewear Revolve list for y’all to purchase. Also if you have the time check it out for more of my favorite sets!

When it comes to preparation, my mindset played a big role in my performance. Dedicating a part of my day to self care was super helpful. I would start with a prayer then move on to journaling and reading a daily devotional from the book Live on Purpose by Sadie Robertson. Even a routine as simple as this made such a huge difference in the way I went about my day and how I thought about myself. I notice a difference in my mindset every time I don’t do this. I totally swear by journaling and I think it’s probably the most important part of this routine. It changed my life and I would recommend trying it to everyone, not just if you’re competing in a pageant lol.

With that said, I am so grateful for my two amazing experiences competing for Miss California Teen USA and I can assure you that my pageant career is long but over.
